Setup the Okta Mobile app (Android)
To access your Okta published apps from your phone you can install the Okta Mobile app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the Play Store app on your phone. The icon looks like this:
- Once you're in the app, search for Okta Mobile along the top and tap on Okta Mobile in the results list.
- Tap on the Install button. After it is installed, go ahead and hit Open.
- After opening the Okta Mobile app, you will be presented with a screen asking for Domain, Username, and Password. Hit the Sign In button after entering everything correctly.
- Domain = proemssolutions
- Username = same username to login to a computer. if your email is mdula@proems.com your username would be mdula
- Password = same password you would use to get into a computer at Pro, for your Email, or Okta on the web.
- The next screen will ask you to set a PIN and then confirm it. This is so you will not have to enter your password each time you use the app as that would be annoying.
Once you have set your PIN, it may ask you if you want to Sign In using your Fingerprint instead if your device is equipped with a Fingerprint Reader. This is up to you whether you want to use it or not. You can still use your PIN in the event that it does not recognize your fingerprint scan.
Once you are signed in, you will see all the same apps you would see if you had opened Okta in a browser. You're done now and ready to start using Okta on your mobile device.
