Setup 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) in Okta
From your Okta Dashboard, click on your name and select settings from the list. On the next page, you will need to click the Edit Profile button so that we can modify the settings. You may be asked to login again before being allowed to make this change. After logging in again, scroll down to the Extra Verification section and hit the Set up button. On the next screen, hit the Setup button to proceed. On the next screen, select what type of cell phone you have. Depending on your choice, the instructions will vary slightly. In both cases, you will need an app that provides Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP). This can be Microsoft Authenticator (if you use Office 365 you may already have this), Okta Verify, Google Authenticator, Yubico Authenticator, or many more. Once you have selected your phone type, hit Next. On the next screen you will see a QR Code. Depending on the app you are using, you will need to select Scan QR Code or Add Account. This should trigger the camera on your cell phone. On the phone screen should be a box that you have to center the QR Code in. Once it has captured the QR Code, hit Next. On the next screen, it will now ask you for your Time-based One-time Password (TOTP). Your app will display a 6-digit code that will refresh every minute. Enter this code into the field and hit Verify. Note: If you enter the password after it expires/refreshes it will give you an error and you will need to enter the new code. Each app will display how long until the next refresh/expiration occurs. In the example below in my Yubico Authenticator, once the circle (next to the star) runs out, the code will regenerate. Once you have put in your code you should see a message that you have successfully setup your 2FA.

Setup the Okta Mobile app (Android)
To access your Okta published apps from your phone you can install the Okta Mobile app from the Google Play Store. Open the Play Store app on your phone. The icon looks like this: Once you're in the app, search for Okta Mobile along the top and tap on Okta Mobile in the results list. Tap on the Install button. After it is installed, go ahead and hit Open. After opening the Okta Mobile app, you will be presented with a screen asking for Domain, Username, and Password. Hit the Sign In button after entering everything correctly. - Domain = proemssolutions - Username = same username to login to a computer. if your email is mdula@proems.com your username would be mdula - Password = same password you would use to get into a computer at Pro, for your Email, or Okta on the web. The next screen will ask you to set a PIN and then confirm it. This is so you will not have to enter your password each time you use the app as that would be annoying. Once you have set your PIN, it may ask you if you want to Sign In using your Fingerprint instead if your device is equipped with a Fingerprint Reader. This is up to you whether you want to use it or not. You can still use your PIN in the event that it does not recognize your fingerprint scan. Once you are signed in, you will see all the same apps you would see if you had opened Okta in a browser. You're done now and ready to start using Okta on your mobile device.

Reset password / Unlock account using Okta
Okta allows you to Self-Service Reset your password or Unlock your account. This will allow you to change your password or unlock yourself without ever having to contact IT. Basically how it works is you enter your username or email address and you can send yourself a link that will allow you to change your password or unlock your account. Begin by going https://proemssolutions.okta.com in a browser. NOTE: This process cannot be done from the Okta Mobile app, it must be done in a browser - either on your phone or on a computer. Under the login field, click on Need help signing in? Next, click on Forgot Password? or Unlock Account? The next screen will ask you to enter your username or email address. If you do not know your username (usually first initial and last name), just enter your work email address. In the picture below i have entered my username. After you have entered your username or email address, you will need to decide how you'd like to receive your password reset / unlock link. - If you'd like a text message to your phone, select Reset via SMS. This will send a text message to the phone number you registered during Okta setup. This will come in the form of a one-time passcode. - If you'd like the link to go to your email address, click on Reset via Email. This method will send a reset link to your PRIMARY and ALTERNATE email addresses. Your primary address would be your work account, your alternate email address (this is usually a personal email address) would be an address you entered during Okta setup If you selected Reset via Email, you will receive an email and you'll need to click on the Reset Password link in the email. If you clicked the Reset via SMS button, you will receive a one-time passcode via text that you will need to enter. One the next screen, no matter which option you selected previously, you'll need to enter the answer to your security question. This would have been created by you during your initial Okta setup. If you do not remember the answer to your security question, you will need to contact IT for help. After entering your security question, you will need to select a new password. Above the text entry fields are the password complexity policy that your password must conform to. Once you have entered your new password twice, click on Reset Password to complete the process. If there were any errors or your password did not meet the complexity policy, it will be displayed in red.
